Portal under the Bridge - Poem

A buzzy rainy evening,
Filled with the view with salty mist.

Life of the mortals was soon to be over,
In danger it was after all.

An act of reversal,
Revered to be acted on.

Rage built into fire,
Spitting them flew over the top them scaly dragons.

Dust seeped through,
So did dirt.

Into the coffins,
They fell through neatly arranged.

Vault of horror for the undead,
The wooden casket shook in terror.

The portal to the other side,
Split open at the end.

A messenger of death,
At long last the angel.

They came,
We waited.
