The Secret Place - Poetry
Secrets many in nature,
Of people and places.
Which could be more shocking?
More dangerous?
This being a tale,
Of a palce,
Rather than a stranger,
Or a friend nonetheless.
Deep under the covers of whispering trees,
Lay a doorway,
Nestled cozily under a mountain,
A way into the other side.
To look in,
At you,
From the outside,
Was what the other side could do.
Few seeked it at many points,
Fewer made it.
Running back from the place,
A mirage of dreams in cacophony,
Tearing the threads holding you down.
A place it was,
That you ought to visit,
And as I stand near the step today,
Hoping for a tickle,
For a laugh today,
Not knowing any better,
But deserving of it all.
It was time.
It was time for the butterfly,
To fly back into the sun.
