Through Layers - Poem

To be better,
At least this time around,
Round the corner,
Into the future.

Pride called a sin,
Children ran,
Around the well,
Laughing into the night.

Watching at night,
Away from the lake,
It was low,
To start with.

Many a night went by,
Until that final day,
To send across,
The layers called life.
