The flower is known as Tumbe hoovu
And some site mention it as Dronapushpa, boat flower and many local names.
These plants are normally grown vastly near by agricultural fields. The pollination is an easy process and carriers are the nature bodies, like flowing water to agricultural fields, blowing winds, insects as carriers and many more.

The plant is know to an Ayurveda herb and its extracts are known to be in medical use for treating liver disease, jaundice and many other disease.
