In my post Drilling for gas in our neighborhood 2.5 months ago I told you the story of the NAM (Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij) starting to drill for gas again because this old gas field is leaking 1-2 liter methane gas every day.

Not a lot happened the last 2.5 months but now they go one with their work.

They would like to work on the project 24/7 because it's very expensive and will not bring a single cent into their account. But there are houses only some meters away from the gas field and it looks like the work will be very noisy.
So they decided to work 14/6 which means: 6 days a week from 7 AM until 9 PM.

Until now nobody knows exactly how long they will be busy with this project

They think it takes 2 weeks building the drilling tower and can close the leakage within 3 months.
But what they knew already is what they need to pay the households in the direct surrounding: 1,500 euro for each household.
They even rented one of the houses to measure the noise they will be making. Renting a house to minimize the compensation they need to pay!!!
