Funan Center was a IT mall specializing in computers, and all IT related products and gadgets. Recently, it underwent a major renovation, and has now reopened. However, it is not an IT mall anymore. It has rebranded itself as a lifestyle mall. Gone were the IT shops. Well, there are still a few small shops selling computers, and IT related product. But gone was the IT flagship shop occupying three floors. In its place are eateries – cafes and restaurants, shops and more shops.
However, for some reason, they have this rooftop attraction. It is quite a big place too, and it offers a skyline view of the surrounding area. Here are some pictures I took on my visit.

I was in time to catch the sunset. Unfortunately, it was rather cloudy in this part of the sky.

The mall was very busy. Maybe, because it was a Friday, and also because it is newly open. I won't be in a rush to go back, unless friends want to go there for a meal.

It's has a few great few there. I tried going there to watch fireworks during NDP day but there was loads of people. LOL. Gave out and go eat dinner.
Yes, I imagine there would be a lot of people on such an occasion. 😊
I thought new enough and may not have that much yet but lots of smart people around.

Funan center is a shopping mall in town. It is an hour on the bus.
oh, Yes it was closer to downtown and all the skyscrapers, that makes sense.
That’s an amazing roof top hang out for the mall - epic views too. So the mall changed from computers and phones to food and clothes - that’s progress for you. At some point people realise you can’t eat a computer, tablet and phone and once you have one of them in every room - you don’t really need any more!

That is probably the reason behind the re-branding of the place. Eating and shopping are Singaporeans two favourite pastime after all. 😊
