This locomotive is a northern type locomotive steam engine which is a survivor of the last steam engines acquired by the great Northern Railway back in 1929. These are the classic old steam engines passenger locomotives. The weight of this steam engine is over 700,000 pounds.

Once the primary mode of transportation for both freight and passengers, these Steam Engines were once referred to as the arteries of the country. The railways were so extensive that even today the old rail lines are often referred to as an iron compass as they are often used as landmarks for pilots.

These particular locomotives have been on display in a Museum since 1964.
