Jaivana - The largest cannon in the History.

History

• Jaivana is the largest 18- century cannon.
• it was cast on 1720, by the administrator of jaighar fort namely jai singh-II during the reign of the mughal Emperor Mohammad shah.
• It weights so much that Four ELEPHANTS where used to swivel it around.
• Today it is located at Jaigarh fort in Jaipur.

• The length of the cannon is 6.15m and the weight of the cannon is 50 tons.
• circumference at the top of cannon neck is 2.2m.
• the thickness of the cannon increasea when you move from the top to the end of the cannon.
  FIRING POWER

• This Cannon was only fired once in the history by jai singh II as a test fire in 1720.
• It is said that the mughal Emperor Mohammad shah has attender the event.
• There is no perfect range know till now. some say it has range of 40km.and some say 11km.
