MY PHOTOGRAPHY TODAY - 97 - JEWEL BEETLE

For a long time I did not see any species from this beautiful and charming insects, I suspected that insects belonging to the family Buprestidae had long been extinct over the increasingly fond chemical used to treat and nourish plants from insect attack.
The insects belonging to the Coleoptera order are often called the Jewel Beetle, now the number of beetles is diminishing, and almost nothing else. As long as I surround the area where I live this beetle is hard to find.

Sudah lama saya tidak melihat spesies dari serangga yang yang cantik dan menawan ini, sempat saya menduga-duga kalau serangga yang tergolong dalam family Buprestidae sudah lama punah tergilas zat kimia yang semakin gemar digunakan untuk merawat dan memelihara tanaman dari serangan serangga. Serangga yang termasuk dalam ordo Coleoptera ini sering disebut Kumbang Permata, sekarang jumlah kumbang ini semakin berkurang, dan hampir tidak ada lagi. Selama saya mengelilingi area perkampungan tempat saya berdomisili kumbang ini sulit sekali ditemukan.

Whereas in the 90's this jeweled beetle belongs to one species of insect that many and easily found in the plantation area even in the house that many plants of flowers. Photos of the beetles I made my content tonight I found by accident, that afternoon I was photographing a few photographs of hummingbirds, then suddenly this beetle flashed in front of me and perched on a pomegranate leaf. I spontaneously turned my camera towards this prettiest beetle.

Padahal pada tahun 90-an kumbang permata ini termasuk salah satu spesies serangga yang banyak dan mudah di temukan di area perkebunan bahkan dipekarangan rumah yang banyak tanaman bunga. Foto-foto kumbang yang saya jadikan konten saya malam ini saya temukan secara tidak sengaja, siang itu saya sedang memotret beberapa foto kolibri, kemudian tiba-tiba kumbang ini melintas di hadapan saya dan hinggap di atas daun delima. Spontan saja saya mengalihkan arah kamera saya ke arah kumbang tercantik ini.

This beetle belongs to one species of insect that has a unique escape strategy of human grip, if one catches the beetle of this Chrysochroa genus, Then at once this beetle will pretend to be dead, his whole legs folded and docked to his body, then when left alone, instantly flaps his wings and flies as far as possible.

Kumbang ini termasuk salah satu spesies serangga yang memiliki strategi melarikan diri yang unik dari cengkraman manusia, jika seseorang menangkap kumbang dari genus Chrysochroa ini, maka seketika kumbang pemata ini akan pura-pura mati, seluruh kakinya dilipat dan merapat ke bagian badannya, kemudian saat ditinggalkan sendirian, seketika ia mengepakkan sayapnya lalu terbangn sejauh mungkin.

As I approached the beetle to get closer, this beetle felt threatened and flew into the banana garden behind my house.

Saat saya menghampiri kumbang tersebut untuk lebih dekat lagi, kumbang ini merasa terancam dan terbang ke kebun pisang di belakang rumah saya.
