Photo by Cape Town, South Africa has been my home for eight years now, and I’m still amazed at how it turns the everyday humdrum into the cinematic, solely by its beautiful people and spaces. This was a very early and very cold Sunday morning, we were shooting a feature film nearby and heard some singing. Next to the highway, in an open field, stood a large prayer group, all dressed in white. It reminded me of a Terrence Malick scene, moody and reverential.
