My ArtVenture: Acrylic painting: “SteemFest 3 in Krakow”
Hi dear Steemians,
Recently we often hear about Steem Fest 3 in Krakow in November 18, that is why I thought I will do a painting about the tourists attraction that you may find interesting to visit. One place where you can see few historical pearls of Poland.
You definitely have to visit Market square and in my opinion the most beautiful architectural wonder is Krakow Cloth Hall, that is in Polish: The Sukiennice. It was once major trading centre, traveling merchants met there to discuss business and to barter. During its golden age in the 15th century, the hall was the source of a variety of exotic imports from the east – spices, silk, leather and wax – while Kraków itself exported textiles, lead, and salt from the Wieliczka Salt Mine.
On my painting you are looking out of passage of Cloth Hall towards another very famous and beautiful building, that is Church of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven (also known as Saint Mary's Church;build in 14th senture in Polish Gothic architecture style.
There are a lot of restaurants and boutiques on market square and always very well visited by tourists.

Thank you, I am glad to hear you like it. It was a bit of "struggle" to get the right colors on pillar but at the end using a help of pastel pencils and stick i have reached what I wanted. Thank you for viewing @kiwiscanfly :)

I've been to Krakow and I was surprised about how beautiful it was. It's a great place for SteemFest and everyone who hasn't been there yet must be excited now after seeing your painting!
Thanky ou @delishtreats, you are right, there are many beautiful place in East europe that were never discovered before. I am glad that this Fest will be there, good for both sides, tourists and the people who have their shops, restaurants and hotels.

It feels different than your usual artworks maybe because you haven't uploaded a scenery painting for some time. There seems to be a lot of change from the second last wip to the finished one, I can tell that you have worked a lot smoothing the details and refining the picture. It is good of course, but I also love the roughness that was shown in the water reflection and the wood before you polished the painting. Anyway, the finished art is pretty lovely :).
You are right, I was going to finish it in acrylic but my white is almost empty and burnt sienna empty so I had to use soft pastel stick, as you know you have to blend it that is why it made this nice smooth surface. I actually miss pastel painting, but I have to order pastel papers, as you know the good quality is expensive so I have to plan what I need in advance and by the end of each month I get my art materials.
I love the texture and abrupt edges of acrylic painting, that is like a mood and inspiration and pastel is like a harmony and smooth flow, I believe you just chose depending on your mood. Thanks for your nice comment :)
