Sejak tahun 1976 lahirlah sebuah Gerakan Aceh Merdeka atau di kenal dengan nama (GAM) di Aceh Serambi Mekah, Mereka bercita-cita untuk melepaskan Negeri Atjeh dari Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI), gerakan ini memperjuangkan Atjeh supaya menjadi sebuah negara yang merdeka dan bisa menikmati hasil alam sendiri serta bisa membuat undang-undang sendiri.

Rutin setiap 4 Desember seluruh Eks Kombatan GAM memperingati hari milad ini baik sebelum Damai maupun setelah pasca Damai dengan NKRI, Maka bertepatan pada 4 Desember 2018 yang merupakan Milad ke 42 Eks Kombatan GAM beserta masyarakat Atjeh juga memperingati hari Milad dengan penuh semangat.

Bukan saja Eks Kombatan GAM yang ada di dalam negeri mereka yang berada di luar negeri juga memperingati hari Milad 4 Desember, karena mereka masih memiliki cita-cita seperti semula yaitu Kemerdekaan dari Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia serta mengenang jasa para syuhada yang gugur dalam peperangan dalam beberapa tahun lalu.

Karena di saat terjadi konflik antara Gerakan Aceh Merdeka dan Pemerintah Indonesia 15000 jiwa masyarakat dan Kombatan yang gugur, sehingga Ribuan anak-anak menjadi yatim dan ribuan perempuan menjadi janda.
Namun pemerintah Indonesia menganggap hal ini bukan kekerasan yang melanggar Hak asasi manusia, sehingga mereka tidak menyelesaikan hal ini sesuai dengan aturan hukum.

Jalan tengah yang di ambil oleh Pemerintah Indonesia dan Gerakan Aceh Merdeka adalah Perdamaian yang di kenal dengan Mou Helsinki yaitu Aceh di berikan Otonomi Khusus dan Qanun Syariah. Namun masyarakat Atjeh masih menuntut pemerintah Indonesia untuk menuntaskan tentang pelanggaran HAM.

Pemerintah Indonesia pun diam seribu kata tentang hal ini, padahal belasan tahun sudah Perdamaian Atjeh Pemerintah Indonesia masih menutupi tentang HAM yang ada di Aceh, bahkan ada sebagian Mou Helsinki yang telah di hapuskan oleh pemerintah Indonesia.

Agar Kedamaian ini tetap abadi, maka pemerintah Indonesia Wajib menuntaskan semua Mou Helsinki dan pelanggaran HAM yang terjadi di Aceh di masa lampau. Sebenarnya masyarakat Aceh tidak menginginkan Konflik terulang lagi, maka darah para pejuang yang mengalir di dalam nadi masyarakat Aceh tidak bisa dipungkiri bila Pemerintah Indonesia tidak menuntaskan pelanggaran HAM dan Mou Helsinki tersebut.

Since 1976 a Free Aceh Movement was born or known as (GAM) in Aceh Serambi Mecca, They aspire to release Atjeh from the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), this movement fought for Atjeh to become an independent and able country enjoy their own natural products and can make their own laws.

Routinely every December 4, all GAM Ex-combatants commemorate this milad day both before Peace and after post-Peace with the Republic of Indonesia. Then it coincides on December 4, 2018 which is 42nd Anniversary of the Ex-GAM Combatants and the Atjeh community also celebrating the Milad day with enthusiasm.

Not only Ex GAM combatants who are in their country abroad are also commemorating the December 4th anniversary, because they still have aspirations as before namely Independence from the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and commemorate the services of martyrs who have fallen in wars in several last year.

Because in the time of the conflict between the Free Aceh Movement and the Indonesian Government 15,000 people and combatants were killed, so that thousands of children were orphaned and thousands of women became widows.
But the Indonesian government considers this not violence that violates human rights, so they do not resolve this in accordance with the rule of law.

The middle ground that was taken by the Government of Indonesia and the Free Aceh Movement was Peace known as Mou Helsinki, namely Aceh was given Special Autonomy and Sharia Qanun. But the Atjeh community still demands the Indonesian government to resolve human rights violations.

The Indonesian government has kept a thousand words silent on this matter, even though a dozen years have been passed by the Indonesian government. The Indonesian government is still covering up human rights in Aceh, and even some Mou Helsinki has been abolished by the Indonesian government.

In order for this Peace to last forever, the Indonesian government must complete all Helsinki Mou and human rights violations that occurred in Aceh in the past. In fact, the Acehnese did not want the conflict to repeat itself, so the blood of the fighters flowing in the pulse of the Acehnese people could not be denied if the Indonesian Government did not complete the violation of the Helsinki Human Rights and Mou.
