I don't know how we can explain a new record of my country - one million tons of palm oil for import in 2018!!
1060 thousand tons, which is 18.9% more than last year's volume of purchases.
Many countries have forbidden usage of this product in food industry, but we buy it more and more...
WHAT is going on??
It is very good for producers of food surrogates and falsifications, as it allows to make cheap butter, cheese, ice cream, cream and get maximum profit. HUGE profit because palm oil costs very cheap!
But it's slow death for people who eat this trash... Some of them don't know about the danger, others don't want to know, some people just don't have the choice - their income is so low that they can't eat natural eco products.
And local manufacturers stop producing them because they can't compete with so cheap palm oil trash.

Unfortunately, as you mention too it s cheap and they use it everywhere..It is almost impossible to avoid it if you cosume supermarket products.

Its sad. In India also it is still used as its cheap it is affordable for the very poor people
The problem is it's hard to avoid it even if you really want to and have money to buy Smith better. They just don't write they have used it.
