Beware...! Phishing Is Everywhere [Writing #17]
Yesterday when i was at home i got an email notification then i checked it. It's from @stemmchat. When i open the message i saw @steemhunt say hi to me. I wonder this account is a fake one but i still reply by say hi too. In my thought, i'm no one to steemhunt and never get involve to this project how can steemhunt offers something big to me.
I become more and more hesitate when he offers something that does not make sense to me. He shares a link to click and he will upvote me with $36 he said. I don't go to the link because i'm sure it's a phishing link.
Hereinafter i take screen shot to those massage and try to find @steemhunt discord to clarify this massage. Soon after i found the discord, i join there and ask about the massage. Do you know what @project7 said?
There is @ThaBiGGDoGG too on discord who also said the same. I also DM @yandot and @arie.steem to clarify the massages, they said that was a phishing link too. How lucky I am for not being affected by the fake steemhunt deception. Thank you so much for all of you for giving me good information so i stay safe from phishing. I do not know how it would be if I follow the link he provides. A friend of mine have ever get decieved by phishing link and all of his balance gone. Base on his experience and most of post about phishing i read on Steemit i become more careful to something suspicious as phishing. Even a guy with big repution on steemit can be decieved by phishing so do not underestimate to phishing. Learn more and understand the characteristics of phishing to be save of them.
The phishing accounts will always come and update their way in order to get new victim. Just imagine like you do fishing on the sea. When you don't get any fish after long wait, you will change your bait right? that's what they doing here. When people understand one of their technique to cheat, they will change with another way. Always careful to someone who offer you SBDs and STEEMs. As you know it's not easy to get SBDs and STEEMs you must work hard and produce a quality post so how can someone just come and offer you big SBDs or STEEMs without know you and you don't know him? he must have planned something bad against you. so do not believe it easily. I hope by this post i can help more people in this platform to be save from phishing.
