He saw the world covered in light
Inside his heart, he prayed
The World is turning white
Such an unbelievable sight
The colors are at full display
He saw the world covered in light
He saw a stringless kite
Flying free and at play
The world is turning white
To happiness, he held tight
Hoping that it would stay
He saw the world covered in light
Somehow everything feels right
There's nothing more he want to say
Except, "the world is turning white"
Such a world is woth the fight
His heart would not be swayed
He saw the world covered in light
Watching as the world is turning white
What is a Villanelle?
A villanelle (also known as villanesque) is a nineteen-line poetic form consisting of five tercets followed by a quatrain. There are two refrains and two repeating rhymes, with the first and third line of the first tercet repeated alternately until the last stanza, which includes both repeated lines. The villanelle is an example of a fixed verse form. The word derives from Latin, then Italian, and is related to the initial subject of the form being the pastoral.
