Easy Baking Egg Tarts
Now, making Egg tarts is easy if you follow the instruction. First here are the ingredients that you need.
Ingredients
For the pastry Crust
-280 g Plain Flour
-150g salted butter
-2 tbsp Icing sugar
-2 egg yolk
-1 egg whiteFor the filling
-4 whole eggs
-4g caster sugar
-250 ml fresh milk
-150 hot water
-1/2 tsp vanila extract
Instructions
How to make Pastry
Mixed butter with icing sugar, egg yolk and egg white.
Then, add in flour to the mixture. Once it's thoroughly mixed, used your hand to press the mixture together to form a dough. Knead the dough and add flour if it's too oily or wet.
Next, after kneading the dough for a few minutes put aside for about 15mins to let it cool.
After that, cut it into small equal portion.
- Roll the portion into a ball. Then press it flat lightly into a tart case
- Make a few small dot hole on the inside area of the flat pastry, line it up and baked for 5 minutes.
How to make the Filling
Mix castor sugar with the hot water until it completely dissolved. Set aside to let it cool.
Beat eggs, milk and vanilla essence and then pour and it into the sugar water.
To achive smooth of the egg mixture, sift it twice. Now its ready to put into the tart pastry.
Pour egg mixture into each tart shells and bake for 25mins at 180 degree.
