Random thoughts on a Friday January 11. If I knew then what I know now. Would you have done it differently ?
Throughout our life we invest in different things. From education or knowledge to stocks / crypto. All the things that will effect us later in life. But it is way more then that. We invest in our future with our action we perform today. Or the lack of action that provides no benefit. Our decisions that we make now have consequences later.
Most of us will not understand the consequences until it is to late. We then rely and expect others to sacrifice or use their resources for our benefit now.
The concept to prepare for the future is not a new concept. It is not followed and it takes a long time to achieve. It is not taught in school and most parents have no knowledge of it to pass to their children.
We do not understand how $10-$15 a week can add up over time. If you want to see the results of how it works over an 11 moth period. Look at my wallet. I saved $10-$15 a week and put it toward Steem.
My wallet is nothing to brag about. But is far greater then doing nothing.
We spend money and time that is a wast in the long term. It might make us feel good at the moment but how much better off would we be down the road If invested for the future.
If I only knew then what I know now.

Thank you for sharing that. For sure I am not going to let me, kids, not understand investing. Stocks or Crypto or another way. I wasted so much of my younger years seeing what the next big thing would be and not investing in it. Take care my friend and I hope anyone young that reads this thinks about it hard.
It takes far less when your young then when older trying to catch up. It is also hard to overcome the I want it now, and the government will take care of you syndromes .
I plan to invest more in due time
Ahh the life of Mr. If Only! I've taken the Buddhist approach and just accepted what is and what will be. Life's too short for regrets, and playing the "if only" game takes too much precious energy that could be used for something productive...or at least something fun!
I always figure that if I didn't do exactly what I'd done in my life, I might not be where I'm at or with who I'm with. Hindsight really is 20/20, but looking forward is completely unclear. We do the best we can, with what we know, and that's it. Simple really. Of course most of us aren't perfect and would do some things differently, but it's a bit of a mute point, isn't it? It's not like we can go back and change it, but we can learn from it and do our futures differently.

At this stage that is all there is (keep the mind going). It will get better or liveable just have to get to that point.
The young ones can make a difference. Us old folks play the hand we have. LOL
You know buddy yes sometimes i regret. I wasted so much money before 1 year and now i realize wish i would save some of it. My younger sister always told me to save something for future or invest on something Which will help in near future but i never listened.. I realized if daily i could save atleast 5$ or invest on something it will help in future but....
I just made the commitment to be consistent and it worked out. The amount was an amount that was trivial.
Build something for retirement its not that far off. The alternative sucks

Words of wisdom! I wish all of us had been taught to invest when we were young!
We were not taught any of this in school or by our parents. We learned by trial an error. Hard lessons.
My parents bought a few savings bonds. But that is the closest they ever came to investing. They couldn't teach what they never learned themselves They were Depression era babies, their parents would not have trusted any investment opportunities!
My parents didn’t know any better. It was a different world 50 years ago. Poor people didn’t go to college like now. Lucky to finish high school.
