SpringRole's Competitors are just Money Grabs

A lot of ICOs turn out to be mere money grabs. SpringRole is not one of them but two other nearly simultaneous ICOs that aim for a similar development like SpringRole’s might be.

SpringRole is a networking platform on the blockchain. Users build a professional profile and the data used in the profile gets verified and the verification is stored on the blockchain. Two other developments, SkillChain and Hub Protocol, are developing something similar but have little to no reason to raise funds.

SkillChain

SkillChain has a partial similarity to SpringRole. While SpringRole is built to verify education, work experience, projects, and skills, SkillChain verifies education and work experience, but has a deep focus on verifying certificates given by life-skill institutes, which are the main business of SkillChain's founder, Alfio zbardolla. This seems too convenient to not be an attempt to add legitimacy to the questionable quality of certification handed out by Bardolla's business.

SkillChain alludes the point of an ICO, raising funds so the team can afford development. Alfio Bardolla has a net worth of $40 million. The ICO is developing systems that heavily merge and expand his existing companies. SkillChain might just be a class-A money grab.

Hub Protocol

As aweful as SkillChain's ICO seems, Hub Protocol might actually be an even greater farce. Hub Protocol is founded by LinkedIn co-founder Eric Ly, whose net worth is possibly over $100 million. Hub Protocol wants to build a verified professional profile. It's details are still beinf developed but it seems the goal is similar to SpringRole, and might be so given that the company is created by LinkedIn's co-founder.

Hub also alludes the purpose of an ICO. Ly already has all the money needed for the project and already has the necessary network. Could this be another money-grab?

SpringRole might be against rich founders, but it is at least a genuine start-up. Its founders need the funds from the ICO to develop the platform as their own worth is not nearly enough to afford the task. This seems to be a much more genuine project and ICO compared to a competitor that seems to be just adding credibility to a rich founder's existing businesses, as seems to be the case with SkillChain.
