Preposterous and gullible, the adamant Adam isn't going to set his record straight with his boss despite his colleague beseeching him to please try and put an end to it.

The round table discussion was very short and precise this time, the whole seats filled with expectations on who is going to get fired or not, the bogus rumour making round isn't favourable to the ears that hear it. Sending some panic into homes where both parent are working in, the corporation never seems to care much, the deed has been done now and nothing could bring back the past.

On a more serious note, Adam was already contemplating on surrendering his ego, he has counted the cost and found nothing gainful coming out of the brouhaha, sitting still and quiet. Each time he was asked how far things are, dudes aren't asking about him, they want to know about his boss, if he will be save on the judgement day, well, today is the judgement day, nothing is going to change the verdict.

Adam for once thought of how this might went, if perhaps it ends well, well, his ego paid off, if it all went south and the only source of livelihood to his family is cut off, he's going to back to his passion, organising carnival.
