"We have a duty to collectively laugh loudly about the EU" - Yanis Varoufakis
I loved watching this interview with Yanis Varoufakis today. I think he appeals especially to the younger generation as he explains economics and their effect on politics so very well! According to him, the EU has already pretty much fallen apart.
"The EU is rearranging the deckchairs of the Titanic, instead of steering it away from the iceberg."
At 9:00 min in he explains his idea for "Universal Basic Dividends", which is slightly different from a Universal Basic Income, or at least differently financed.
I don't agree absolutely 100% with everything he says, but I love the way he sheds light on some of the illogical things the EU is doing (from 11:20min in). Especially the part about "giving things names in order to avoid doing them". E.g. calling something a Banking Union, or a European Budget, while it's something completely different.
His conclusion:
"We have a duty as citizens, to look at these proclamations and collectively laugh very loudly."
He's very serious about that (13:30min).
And he is right actually in a lot of things!
In the end it is also a load of white collar crooks selling their pitpoint. But one day the surpressed kid in the classroom will stand up and cause a massive scene

I think you want Truth first and foremost. People who prefer peace and stability at the expense of truth aren’t here on decentralized platforms.
Of course you and I want peace and stability, too, but we’re willing to accept the chaos and discomfort that comes with bringing the truth to the surface, so we can establish peace based on that truth, not instead of it.
