FARMS: CASH CROPS.(OPERATION FEED THE NATION)...

There are so many write up about pest of crops in the internet. I have took some time to make research about some of the cash crops.
As the on going project on farm is going on initiated by my mentor @Sirknight and @steemchurch. I want to remind us about some of the crops that can affect agriculture farm.

WHAT IS A CASH CROP?
A cash crop or profit crop is an agricultural crop which is grown for sale to return a profit. It is typically purchased by parties separate from a farm.

The term is used to differentiate marketed crops from subsistence crops, which are those fed to the producer's own livestock or grown as food for the producer's family.

Subsistence crops are also grown for feed of the farmer's livestock including working animals. While there are many advantages to cash crop farming such as source of living for the farmer, salaries and wages for the employees and farm workers, and government revenue through taxes, it may also have adverse effects.

EXAMPLE OF CASH CROPS
Cash crops are grown for direct sale in the market, rather than for family consumption or to feed livestock. Coffee, cocoa, tea, sugarcane, cotton, and spices are some examples of cash crops. Food crops such as rice, wheat, and corn.

Cash crop farming refers to a type of farming where agricultural crops are grown for the purpose of sale or to make profits, instead of subsistence or barter. It is also called commercial farming or cash cropping.
