A fact about Germany

Today I learned that in Germany it is customary to recognize a humorous "equator" between the south of the country (Bavaria) and the center of the country. This line indicates the cultural differences between these two parts of the country, and is called the "white sausage equator," after the popular sausages in Bavaria.
