I’m back! What I have learned and our 12 year Wedding Anniversary!

HELLO Steemit fam! It is so good to be back with you all. November’s sabbatical was much needed and I have gained some valuable information from it!

First let me say my husband and I are very blessed and thankful for being able to celebrate another year of marriage. We recently celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary on November 18th!

Of course we had to have a photo shoot! This is one of the main reasons for investing in our camera. No need to pay someone else for something you are willing to learn how to do on your own. These pictures were taken by our 8 year old daughter and edited by me. She has shown interests in wanting to learn so why not let her give it a go?! She did really well and will be learning more about the camera.

I wish we could have done more this year but certain circumstances won’t allow for that right now. I do want to have a big celebration with family and friends for our 20th year Anniversary if the Lord allows us to see it. None the less we had a good time taking our photos and watching movies all night. As long as we were together that’s all that mattered. ❤️

What I Learned

During my break from social media I learned that I HAVE to cut back on how much I am online. For awhile I had it under control and was able to handle my busy home life and still have time for Steemit. Recently I started the @needleworkmonday communal account on top of helping to monitor the community’s Discord group. Every week I made sure there was a curation post that featured our needleworkers. When you take on a project and it begins to grow it becomes more work and you have to give more time to see that it prospers.

I love what I do here and I love that the needlework community has gotten more recognition and support. But going to sleep late on Steemit and waking up early to it was becoming quite the challenge. Especially when you’re a stay at home mom that homeschools five children that requires all of your attention and energy throughout the day.

My solution to this is that I will mainly focus on continuing helping the @needleworkmonday community grow, supporting and working with the @steemitmamas and writing for and promoting the @familyprotection community. I will support and read the posts of my fellow Steemians in between time when I have that free time. You most likely won’t see as many posts from me throughout the week. Steemit really is a wonderful past time for me so I am doing what I need to do in order to continue being apart of it. Sometimes we have to evaluate our situations and make realistic adjustments.

Shoutouts and Thank You’s

I want to give a shoutout and a HUGE thank you to two ladies that have stepped up and took on the @needleworkmonday curation posts! Thank you to @muscara and @marblely for holding down the fort! You both have done an excellent job featuring and supporting our community. I think this is the beginning of a great team here (hint hint 😄😉)!

I also want to thank @khimgoh who gave me the idea to delegate most of my SP to the @steemitmamas while I was away so that I can get a nice return. I am so glad I listened because it’s really a Win Win set up doing so. You help a community you love grow and at the same time you benefit from it as well. It was a pleasure giving it to these lovely mamas! 💗

Thank you to @dylanhobalart for the delegation I received. It was a nice surprise coming back to such a generous gesture. This is one of the things I love about Steemit. When people are blessed with having more SP, they give back to others that are supporting and curating others. This is how a community thrives and stays alive. Thank you ~ ☺️

Once again I am glad to be back and look forward to Monday to start sharing my needlework again with the community! I hope your month of November was exciting...can’t believe we’re saying hello to December already. Time sure flies!
