Introducing solid food to your baby

When the time is right to start introducing solid food to your baby, it is advisable to introduce new taste every 2 - 3 days while still breastfeeding them too. This way, your child will get acquainted with solid food little by little. It is also of great importance to consider the finger food version that will be introduced to the baby.

Encourage your baby to get messy with their food while feeding themselves. If you keep trying to wipe them clean or pinning them down to feed them, feeding time may not actually be fun to them and they might loose interest in eating.
