No. Especially if the children are minors.

I believe parents are responsible for the safety and growth of their children. That allows a measure of control over their children's lives.

While growing up, most children are easily influenced by bad elements/trends. Restricting the movement of a child would reduce how much time he's exposed to those influences.

Plus, we all know that vices are more likely to occur at night. The drug filled parties, juvenile exuberances... All of these come alive under the cover of the night

Furthermore, if done properly, it would help the child in the long run. They'll learn to be discipline and spend more time with their families

However, like every other thing, it should be carried out with love. If the child is old enough, the parents should also have a conversation with the child where they explain why they're giving the child a curfew.
