I have been mildly depressed lately, things happening around me seems to get hold of me, and seeing the freak show in the crypto space is not helping matters at all. Reading one of my oldest articles gave me some motivation and I tried to rewrite it, even though I tried so hard to choose the most appealing title for this post, but finally, I came up with this one, try to give it another title for me in the comment section below if you are reading this.
A whole lot is happening around us, although we are often carried away by the quest for survival and financial freedom, our desire and passion to be rich and famous, to acquire as many wealth (Steems and tokens) as possible. All these have prevented us from seeing life from another perspective and be thankful for the little things that matter, yet we do not pay attention to.
One of the things that matter more than wealth is family, humans are wired to constantly want more and then compare our lives with that of others around us, people who are rich even though we have no idea the source of their wealth.
Nothing guarantees our happiness like the love of the ones around us, even the Blockchain doesn't guarantee our profound happiness considering the state of mind of many of us who had been thrown into despair as our funds invested in Cryptocurrencies seems to have been sucked away.
The family is an ultimate source of joy and happiness, so does seeing kids and Grand Children makes anyone happy no matter how broke. The reason simply is: they will never forsake us if we go broke!
To everyone, seeing your children is a profound reason to be happy, but seeing your grandchildren is greater than any gift nobody could ever give you, it is a Gift divine! Irrespective of how "Mean", or tough or stubborn nor cold an individual is, seeing your grandkids makes you soft more than wool and fleece!
Getting Old is Golden and more precious than Gems...!
The picture above always inspired me a whole lot to see the beauty Grandparents-hood, I never experienced such moments with my grandma and grandpa, and i don't have any kid yet but i have a strong hope to have mine someday, and then when i carry my grandchildren and we go for a Walk, until then; to those who had shown me what it's like to have parents both in real life and some on Steemit i love you all...
