Five suits

A few months ago I talked about a former child services youth who had aged out of the system and was now suing the BC child services along with Robert Saunders; his foster parent who abused and stole money from him.

I mentioned that because of this other former children in care would start coming forward for what they encountered in the system. You see one person stand up then everybody else begins standing up.

There are now five.

Five young adults have stood up and launched laws suits against Robert Saunders, and there are more coming as the lawyer mentioned there are many others.

This is what happens when abuse goes untested for so many years.

The evidence piles up.

According to the lawyer for the young adults there’s close to 200 kids affected and 4 million dollars stolen from them.

I’ve had a few chats with students that have aged out in the system recently (I want to make a film about it) and they had no idea they could sue for what they went through.

So it is a matter of getting the word out now.
