I was sent this link from a friend out east, where she lives in an area where poverty is a major problem, And the fear of having your kids taken simply because you’re poor... keep in mind the kids are taken from their poor parents and put into situations where it’s worse.
And it’s a law created by an MlA that was taken from her parents when she was a kid... which means that people that went through the system, who know the system, are fighting for the people that are still stuck in it.
And that gives me hope.
This is FANTASTIC news! Although it should have always been the most basic of rules that poverty is not even considered as an excuse to remove children -- especially NOT when the funds paid to a stranger foster parent would MORE than solve any financial issues a parent might have.

Yeah. That always bugged me too. The budget for foster parents is enough to support kids somewhere else... so why not just give it to the parents?
