Once upon a time me and my brother were talking about how can a nation will prosper and he said that the state must give a support to a child like healthcare and education which includes proper nutrition, something like taking care of its citizens because a healthy and educated people can build a strong and robust country and the government really is a key factor for this to happen.

The "Klim"	The Cornmeal

I remember when I was a child the former president had a program that gives a ration of skimmed milk (we call it "Klim") and cornmeal which we made into a pancake under a banana leaf sometimes or we just pan roast it and we add some sugar to make it more palatable and we enjoy it eating that way.

When the CIA made an ouster of the former president Marcos the programs like that also were halted into oblivion but fortunately today the plan for institutionalizing the feeding program for children is underway and it is a great decision move for the president Duterte because now children will not be malnourished especially in rural areas where some villages are very poor that children are going to school very hungry or have not eaten breakfast.

I am only seeing feeding program set by some groups and they are only very limited in scope and sometimes are done just for propaganda purposes but institutionalizing a feeding program will reach up to the children that needs a proper nutrition in order for them to grow and thrive and someday will be the ones that will make ideas, policies, and work for this country that needs more development and prosperity because I believe that a healthy people makes a healthey country, a tree is judged by a way of the quality of its fruits.
