I humbly offer once again a song parody for you. This song captures the pain and loneliness and even death in the environment of the CPS. I speak of the song 'Solitaire' by Neil Sedaka. Many folks out there avoid the discussion of pain as if it is tooatpersonal. However I believe it is what makes the CPS Foster care travesty real, and the world needs to know every heart patter of pain...very tear drop...every sob a mother makes...every death... in the hope that we can and will wake the sleeping masses.

Before we listen

There are two things I would say about the lyrics.

• There was a child, a voiceless child
  whose silence sings this song I'm playing

Often the voice is heard more in death as in silence sings this song I'm playing. Also this is my favorite line.

• I purposely excluded the what would have been the final line of the lyric to let the silence from the death speak to your heart.

Finally

I have two recordings. The first just ABOVE the lyrics is a live moving performance by Neil Sedaka. The second found BELOW the lyrics is a recording by Karen and Richard Carpenter. Take moment and let the music and words speak to you.
