[FamilyProtection]The Marys: The Visitors That Tells A Hidden Story About Child Preying Services(CPS)

For the better part of 6 weeks now, my home has been a very busy place. The doorbell rings endlessly and footsteps kept gracing our living room, footsteps of visitors; well wishers, relatives, friends, acquaintances and neighbors. I felt strangely uneasy and Good that people kept coming not just to sympathize with me, for the better number of them made me feel good about what has happened and even kept smiles on my face.

One of my neighbor, Thelma(the lady I wrote about way back, who got her kids back after we persistently battled CPS in court) wouldn't stop sending my home greens and fruits after I came back home from the hospital. At a point the fridge was so full of greens and fruits that my little niece, Lillie, had to secret dispose some. I wonder why I am mentioning this!. Thank you Thelma!!

I planned to make this post brief and lightly toned, but forgive me if at anytime it becomes a little heavy.
On four occasion, a single Mother, Mary, whom I and Eungene had worked with when the odds were grave also visited my home. As a matter of fact, more than 25 parents rallied around her in her most stormy time. At the time, CPS had taken her two young daughters and a son. The kids were under CPS custody for a considerable huge chunk of time that I can't remember right now. The good news at the end was that they got returned.

The bad news was obvious, the girls looked broken, the day they got home, I could see it in their eyes. I am no psychologist, but I could tell right away the hell these 3 kids went through living apart one another and their mum. They had lost more than just their mother who they had to live without for months, they had lost a huge chunk of themselves.

Mary showed me the last picture they had taken together just 8 days before the kids were legally kidnapped. I was in a awe of bad surprise!, the kids looked so happy and healthy, you would mistake them for children who "Had it all". My awe of bad surprise wasn't for the picture, but for the little broken, lean, unkempt kids they had become. The boy appeared to be looking strong and willed but wasn't really, not a bit, the daughters were the epistle of this few lines of mine and even more. One of the girls had to be admitted in the hospital for more than a week three days after returning from CPS care.

These were children who were removed from their safe home, where they got all the love they needed and provisions any loving parent could give and thrown into a dungeon of unknown faces where they couldn't tell if their temporal career(Almighty CPS) was a beast or human.

I can't believe this, they are my Children for crying out loud, but I can't recognize them no more. They wouldn't even talk to me, they are here with me yet feels like they are being pulled away from my hands once more. I am confused and angry at myself for not being strong enough. I can see it in Mabel's eyes, she is still mad at me for letting them go. How do I explain away the disappointment they feel for their mother. How!....MARY

Those were the words Mary sent to me one night, I could feel her pain to a degree, but only she felt the blunt effects of CPS's wickedness, they were still there haunting her home.

Fast forward to the present, when Mary visited me those 4 times!, my eyes were glued to the children(aged 8,12, & 14). A lot has changed, they gradually almost looked better than the photo Mary showed me almost 6 or 5 months ago. I heard the older girl having a tough healthy argument with my little niece, I was so impressed. There was no way in the world that Mary's children were the same kids I knew back then. Oh yes! John(14yrs), gave me the best laugh when they visited. He is one heaven of a bright boy!. He made me laugh at his jokes to the extent I ached more, but I never cared, because I couldn't stop myself from laughing.

Mary's family was one of my best visitors, they inspired me more than I could possibly tell!, gracing my little living home. I could tell a million percent, that the Mary's I met back then wasn't the Mary's that had visited me.

Exactly what was CPS built for? to tear down beautiful homes like Mary's ? and break down beautiful children like Mary's?. I am glad they did not succeed, oh yes!, that they recovered from the hell they crawled out of. A hell called Child Protective Service.
