Even though I have learned from reading @familyprotection posts not to trust social workers. Even though I overshared and was screwed over with nonsensical demands in the past, I trusted her when she said she would notify us when she put the order in for the urinalysis. Maybe because she said it like three times...
Well, this morning they came around 10AM. No warnings. No notifications at all.
A pregnant woman who did the paperwork and a "witness" to make sure Jared wasn't cheating.
They only came for Jared's pee.
It will be clean, but that's not the point.
I had a pretty busy day yesterday, not to mention I've been up since 3AM. Not sleeping so well these days. The house was a mess.
All the kids were still sleeping ... not on their own beds, but on the hide-a-bed.
My 5 year old wets the bed...and she doesn't like wearing anything at night...and she kicks off her blankets...so she was laying there with only a pull up on.
They saw her, and I threw the blanket back on.
I apologized for the messy house, and they were all, "Oh, we have kids. We understand!"
I don't trust them though. Not at all.
We're so screwed.
Oh yes, thanks for calling! This has made our lives so much better! We are now motivated to become the parents you want us to be!! Yes, thank you! Thank you for trying to ruin my life.
NOT! This isn't helpful at all! You took the wind out of our sails, and made everything worse.
The element of surprise is a weapon of attack in warfare. They used it on your family. One should expect this from them as they are motivated by their selfish desire for money. I am sorry you are going through this @snowpea. You deserve better. If you can keep them out of your house it is better. My prayers are with you as you go through this. Blessings.
So frustrating. Every family has disheveled or messy moments. That's real life. I hate it when visitors stop by and come in unannounced, and those are the ones with good intentions! You are a good mom! Keep on keeping on.
They have no souls! They also use French law (guilty until proven innocent), which is illegal. They will lie, cheat, and steal; to trip you up! A rattlesnake is better company! :(
Sorry this is still ongoing. I think it is safe to assume they will pop in whenever they want, hoping to catch you all in an off moment. If possible try to always be prepared for their knocking on the door at any moment.
It hit me as I was reading this that maybe you could make this into a type of game to enlist some of the older childrens help. I was doing chores at an early age, so maybe you could make this into a fun project with them so you can get help keeping the place organized.
I can't imagine how much energy 5 kids would take up. And getting children involved in chores is a great gift to them as they get older and have these great habits instilled in them. Even if they do a half ass job at first, maybe buy you a few moments here and there to take a breath.
