Waiver Wire Week 5 Fantasty Football

Welcome back to another fantasy football post. We are a quarter of the way done with the football season. Hopefully, your team is not 0-4. If it is, don't give up just yet. There is still plenty of time to make a push. All you have to do in fantasy football is make it to the playoffs. Once in the playoffs, it's anyone's game. This post will be some waiver wire help for Week 5. Lets get to it.

In the Quarterback position, this may come as a bit of a surprise, but be on the lookout for Andy Dalton. He played terribly in his last performance. However, he ALWAYS plays terrible during night games. The reason I mention Dalton, is that in Week 5, the Bengals play against the Cardinals. The Cardinals have been one of the friendliest defenses against QBs...giving up the 3rd most points to the position this season. Dalton is also playing at home. I expect a big rebound game for Andy Dalton.

In the Running back position, I am going with Jordon Howard from the Philly Eagles. Philly is playing against the Jets this week. I know that Philly has a running back committee, but Howard looked solid last week. He is expected to get 9-12 touches, and be involved in the passing game. In week 4 he caught 3 passes on 4 targets and got a touchdown. Howard's snaps have increased each game, and he is running better than Miles Sanders. I would consider him as a flex position to fill in if you have to fill a Bye week position.

In the Wide Receiver position I would go with Geronimo Allison of the Green Bay Packers. The reason I choose Allison is due to Devante Adams. Adams was hurt last game and there is a chance he does not play this week. Rogers has to throw to someone, and without Adams on the field, I expect a nice bump is production towards Allison. He has scored a few touchdowns this year, but with Adam's out I expect to see more volume, so he should be a solid play this week in the wide receiver position.

For the Tight End position I am also going with another Green Bay Packers player...Jimmy Graham. Again, as listed above with Allison, there is a good chance that Adams does not play. Graham should benefit as well as Allison. Graham is a bit of touchdown dependent Tight End, but he is a big target and without Adams, Rogers will have to look elsewhere, and Graham is a great choice. Feel free to fire up Graham if Adams does not play.

Well there you have it. Good luck in Week 5. Hopefully, your team wins this week. I am in two leagues. So far I am 3-1 in both leagues, so I am off to a good start. Each week I make sure to look for potential waiver wire candidates to improve my team. This is especially important now that we are in the Bye weeks. I will see you again next week. Good luck!
