Druids Farm: Revolutionizing The Poultry Sector Through Steem And Seeking A Grant From FARMS Under The Agro-empowerment Scheme
Good day everyone and fellow agriculturist on the blockchain, Druids farm has been around for a while, we started out small, using steem rewards from post payout to fund the farm but a rainstorm destroyed the poultry roof earlier and the birds were moved to a smaller conjested room during the construction of the poultry.
We recorded a mortality rate of 2 birds during the construction of the new poultry.
The Newly Constructed Poultry
The newly constructed poultry is a battery cage system similar to the former with four sections for the birds and a food storage unit, the poultry was constructed with my payout as usual with a huge support from my parents who contributed over 60% in cash aid.
The birds occupy one section of the building using wood shavings as litter and placing rubber tyres for laying and collecting eggs.

The purpose of the grant is the expansion of the poultry farm,increasing egg production and curbing hunger and poverty.

Required grant
Required grant is 385.5 steem which will purchase and manage 200 Point Of Lay Birds(22-24 weeks old) to the farm location.
Budget Proposal
200 birds = 310steem/ #320,000.
10 bags of Feed(Growers Mash) =36 steem/ #36000.
8 Feeding Troughs And 8 Water Cans= 17steem/ #16800.
Vaccines = 3.5 steem/#3500
Transportation =8 steem/ #8000
Wood shavings Litter= 1 steem/ #1000
Each point of lay cost #1600 in my local currency and will be purchased at the famous poultry market in benin located in 3rd Murtala Mohammed Way Benin City.
Qualifications
6 years experience in the poultry sector,
Got an excellent grade (A1) in Agricultural science.
Currently Managing 80 Birds with 2 mortality albeit due to a change in environment during the rainstorm damage and the birds are producing at a 80% efficiency of 65-70 eggs per day.

The grant will increase local food production and strengthen the @farms position on hunger eradication and creating job opportunities.
Upon approval, the fund will be disbursed accordingly and the progress of the druids farm will be personally supervised by @abiye.

It is good that I spent time sharing this farm experience, when I was little I did a similar job raising chickens and chickens, I did not like it very much because I feared the chickens, they pecked me, (opposite to the gif), because I knew I was looking for their eggs hahaha, now that I live in the city in a building, I would like to have a corral with chickens as well as yours.
