STEEMCHURCH: MY BACKYARD FARM; A CHEAPER WAY TO GET FRUITS AND VEGETABLES FOR VITAMINS AND MINERALS

in #farms6 years ago

In a world of seemingly 7 billion people 795 million people are starving and over 300 million do not have enough calcium the right proportion of the six classes of food in other to live and stay healthy.
In some situation people basically lack the information on what to do to do when they not have enough money to eat properly and stay healthy. The best known source of vitamins which people seems to know are mainly beef, whole chicken, meat and eggs and as a result of low income earnings, they won't be able to afford this.

The whole classes of food In the body ranging from protein to fat and oil, other nutrients such as phosphorus, calcium manganese and a whole other which are minor but needed for the body are not gotten in the right proportion as a large percentage people do not even have knowledege on the proportionate amount of vitamins and minerals in food.

Needless to say, eating healthy is looking healthy, but when you're on a low cost income then how can you eat health? How can you not fall sick or become malnourished? Apart from thinking linearly in this situation, have you wondered if you have a choice or choices in other that you may solve this alarming problem have you ever considered going green?

MY BACKYARD FARM VEGGIES AND FRUIT

Coconuts are tropical fruits and this one in my yard is five years old with large bulge of coconuts on them, here is a picture of my coconut tree in my yard, many people overlook coconuts, but do you know they contain a large amount of potassium and fatty acid?

At the back of my house I have a 70 by 50 feet space of land in there, and four years ago it was growing grass and shrubs then I decided to plant I planted a mango seed, and today here is the mango in my yard.

If you do not know, mango is a great source of
Vitamin A2, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Vitamin Vitamin B Vitamin B-12 and Magnesium as well, now imagine if you give two mangoes to a person malnourished everyday for one months a person without the means to have the costly type of vitamins and minerals

Banana

Over here are my banana plantations, they grow in a pile and they just occupy like 10 by 8 feet space of land, in a nutshell, it virtually occupies no space at all, all year It produces twice and I get like 14 big lump of bananas contain like 40 fruit per lump, I however have enough to eat, and enough to give out to at least 10 persons around my neighborhood if you're wondering, bananas can be very rich In
Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron Vitamin D, Vitamin B-6 Vitamin B-12,Magnesium

Talinum triangulare

Here is my vegetables planted just beside the bananas, it's called Talinum triangulare or red Indian spinach, this is a very right source of iron and folic acid, it can be shredded or cut and cooked into porridge and a substantial amount of it for a big meal is like SBD 0.100 which is relatively very cheap, this means that 1 SBD will be able to buy it substantially for ten family at least to have vitamin, iron and folic acid to their meal, the power of 1 SBD however it's a creepy plant that needs support, and virtually I planted some and now here we have it

Papaya

Over here is my newly planted papaya plant, it's Just 3 months old, and tenderly growing, yet to become fully grown, that suggests that in the next 6 months I'd be harvesting ripe pawpaws and actually the occupy no space at all, papayas yellowish orange in nature it has the richest proportion of vitamins C More than citrus, and also very rich in potassium and copper also

CONCLUSIONS

In a world where millions of people are malnourished, going green with vegetables and nuts is the best way to get enough vitamins and mineral to stay healthy and out of illness, in a nutshell I will advise people to make use of any piece of land they may have to spare, and if they can't get this, then they should go find means to buy green vegetables, seeds nuts and all, this are what my small land could hold, but I maximized it.

PLANS

My plans is to expand and buy the land beside my land, so that I could even plant groundnuts, beans, more vegetables like spinach and lettuce, I could sell at 0.02% profit to people when I'm all established, that is, they will be buying it more than 99% cheaper in other to eat healthy and stay healthy.

Certainly there are people who have land and fertile land who do not take advantage of what God has given them or given them to administer in the photograph you refer to aloe vera, is that? or is it a species that is called like that ?, because what I know is this. (photo below)
