KELAPA ( COCONUT )
Tanaman kelapa tersebar luas di daerah pesisir dan daratan rendah di Asia dan pulau-pulau di lautan Pasisifik yang beriklim tropis. Tanaman ini diperkirakan berasal dari pulau-pulau di Lautan Pasifik dan kemudian disebarkan oleh arus laut ke negara-negara lain.
Coconut plants are widespread in coastal areas and inland lowlands in Asia and islands in the tropical Pasisifik ocean. This plant is thought to originate from islands in the Pacific Ocean and then spread by ocean currents to other countries.
Kepala sudah cukup di kenal oleh masyarakat indonesia dan merupakan tanaman rakyat dari dulu sampai sekarang. Perkebunan-perkebunan kelapa milik rakyat tersebar di daerah-daerah pantai dan daratan rendah di wilayah nusantara.

Dari buah kelapa yang di hasilkan kopra , yaitu buah kelapa buah kenapa yang dicongkel dari bijinya dan dikeringkan . Kopra diolah menjadi minyak kelapa.
