Steemchurch - Myth about chamomile tea to improve the results in the germination of sweet pepper seeds.
Hello friends from Steemchurch #farms led by @abiye, last week, I acquired some germination trays of 162 cavities, to start a plantation project on a sloping land that is behind the residence building where I live, they had a cost of 3 Steem each One .
When I was preparing to do the work of acquiring the land and waiting for some selected seeds of sweet pepper (Capsicum chinense) that would bring me a friend, I thought, why not do it in a different way (as I usually do). Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Then it occurred to me to do it MythBusters style, for those who do not know this fantastic program can see in the link that is. It is one of my favorite TV shows.
There is a myth that if we put the seeds in a chamomile tea for 24 hours, there is a chance that all the seeds you grow will germinate.
Myth.
If you place the seeds of pepper or sweet pepper in a soft tea of chamomiles, the seeds will germinate faster and will be more likely to germinate all.
To determine if this myth is false or true. The following operations were carried out:
Place the selected seeds in a chamomile tea at room temperature for a period of 24 hours.
The germination tray was required to germinate half of the tray of 162 cavities, that is, 81 cavities with seeds submerged in chamomile tea for 24 hours and the other 81 cavities with selected dry seeds.
A dry seed (A) was placed in each cavity with a sheet of corrugated cardboard and a paper clip. Until the limit before demarcated.
Subsequently, the same operation was carried out with selected seeds (B) that were placed for 24 hours in chamomile tea.
Note: the seeds that floated on the surface of the tea glass were discarded and only seeds that were submerged in the bottom of the container were used.
All cavities were covered with a thin layer of earth approximately 5 mm thick.
And we proceeded to water very carefully so as not to remove the top layer of earth that covered it.
Each of the cavities was inspected to observe that the seeds had not emerged to the surface.
The tray with the seeds was placed in a place in my apartment, so that they receive 5 hours of direct sunlight a day. They will be watered only once a day specifically during the night.
As mentioned by the brother @oscarcede in his publication cultivation of sweet pepper, the first seeds begin to sprout from 8 to 10 days, so we must wait for that time to analyze the result.
But if the myth of chamomile tea is true, I will make a publication as soon as the first seedlings begin to sprout.
The main image was made with the following sources.
We are sured learned from this publication, thanks for the detail pictures and explanations, we are sure to put into use..... thanks for sharing this post with @farms

It's good that you liked that publication, waiting for it to germinate to see if the myth is true or false.
