Diseases that affect the pepper crop:
Oídio: this disease is produced by a fungus. It can be detected because there is a kind of dust or white spot on the leaves of the plant. Its appearance is due to the variation of temperatures.
Sadness or dry pepper: this disease can affect the pepper culture during the whole process of maturation and development of the same. This is characterized by damaging the roots and stems and withering the plant.
Gray rot: when a plant has this disease, you can notice the appearance of brown spots on its leaves and causing the fruit to become smooth and soft.
Among the pests that affect the pepper, we have:
White spider: this plague damages the plants because to feed it must suck the juices of it. This causes the leaves to roll up and the stems to weaken. This plague is yellowish and rounded in shape.
Red spider: this plague damages in a similar way to the white spider to these crops. They suck the juices of the plants causing a yellowish coloration in the same, in addition, of this if the infection is very advanced it is possible that they form a spider's web in the plant.
White fly: this also sucks the sap from the plant and then withers the plant. It rests on the underside of the leaf, leaving its eggs there.
Aphids: with the appearance of this plague it is possible to appreciate that the plant weakens and turns yellow, drying the plant. It is possible to detect this plague if we notice that in its leaves there is a kind of molasses that attracts another type of disease: the bold.
Trips: these are microscopic insects that feed on the sap of the plant and leave a kind of whitish or silvery color on the leaf that later dies.
