The sweet potato (Ipomoea batata) is also called sweet potato. It has a sweet and pleasant flavor. It is oblong in shape and its bark is violet. It is an ideal food for people who use energy as athletes, the elderly and children.

Climate: the sweet potato does not support low temperatures. Prefers tropical climates.

Soil: the sweet potato prefers sandy soils. However, it can be adapted to any type of soil and with good drainage.

Germination: the sweet potato can be propagated in two ways: by tubers or by cuttings. For example, a route is transplanted to have an outbreak. The branch should not be too old or too young. This must have at least four outbreaks. By tubers, they are sown directly in the soil. It can be done between April and June. Give them enough water.

Irrigation: it is advisable to water regularly.

Harvesting: can be harvested approximately three months after sowing or when its leaves begin to dry.
