Featheredfriday
Hello Steemians
Welcome to the excellent #featheredfriday with
thanks to @melinda010100
The red bellied woodpecker is often seen at backyard feeders
and sometimes even at hummingbird nectar feeders.
This is a male, evident from the ......
red crown and nape.
While the female has a grey patch.
Thank you to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology for the map
That first photo is really great!

I'm watching a female at my feeder right now! Great photos. So many of the birds, including the red-bellied woodpeckers seem to have had a very successful breeding season this year! There are lots of young ones around.
Thanks, I am back, but have 1K photos to sort through..lol
1k photos will make me happy!
Lol.. ok coming up shortly..

Howdy sir karbon! Great photos there, what a handsome bird too. I think we might have those here but I haven't seen them, I might have heard them though.
Thank you @janton
They are common around feeders, almost certain to see one there..
