Food Fight Friday - How to eat Pizza

in #fff5 years ago

When you're three years old, you often find yourself in a kind of limbo between wanting to be independent and do everything yourself, but still needing help from others.

This week, the challenge was eating pizza.

As you can see from the photo, Miss 3 wanted to utilise her own technique for devouring her slice of goodness.

Despite being told (and shown) the "correct" way, she decided that she was happy enough to stick with her own method (our local pizza place actually do really good quality product that holds the toppings on really well).

I guess it was a bit of an education piece to remind us that children will find their own path, and all we can really do is try to keep th safe and help them learn from their mistakes.

And it’s a testament to how much cheese is on your pizza. I love that’s shes already a little risk taker :)

Yeah, she's not afraid to do things her way - she usually insists on it.

As for the pizza, we're very fortunate that our local place uses good quality ingredients and doesn't skimp on the toppings either.

She said, “Ya, whatever dad, this is how I do it!” Ha ha ha how funny. Maybe the pizza was so tempting she didn’t even hear a word you said and Her eyes were too focused on the pizza to see your instructions.
Yes all we can do is give them advise and lead by example. :wink:wink

Yeah, or it's just as likely to be a case of doing exactly the opposite of what Dad says. She's good at that too.

Dah ha ha....yep I get that from both of mine. Even when I trying to show my son how to do some sort of automotive work. Make me want to pull my hair out. Sometimes they gotta learn the hard way. I know I have and for some odd reason I still do???? Hmmm weird??

Yeah, her independence is one of the things I am actually quite proud of. Hopefully as she gets older it will translate into her being a leader, not a follower and help keep her from falling in with the wrong crowd

This is a response from your earlier comment and upvote on my post after seeing me placed right up or below you in paulag's engagement's league.

The kid is too cute and that is the best she can do at eating pizza :D Let her grow up and she will teach everyone else on how to eat a pizza :D

Thankyou. She really is an independent thinker.

She should be, loved seeing her :) Let her do things her own and you might see a very interesting personality once she grows up
