Entry 24

Then, landing on her arm - that silly, old ladybug with the smiley face spots on the back. Her mother was giving her clues, but she wasn't grasping it.

The bird, the ladybug - both things that she and Bryd had created together. They had created them both without speaking or planning it. Their thoughts had merged into the same intent and they had thought and created as one. But they had been separated for so long now! He couldn't even hear her, how would he know to even try?

"Can you hear me?" He sounded tired, as only a man giving up on hope could sound.

Ok - this was the third time in the last minute that external things had responded to her thoughts. Could her mother hear her thoughts? Rays of sunshine filtered through the clouds like fingers coming from heaven to touch her. She gasped in delight. Her mother could hear her! "Ok. Ok, Mom. I'm trusting that you're planting the same seeds in him, wherever he is. If we still can merge our intent, then it should be like riding a bike, right?" As she spoke the words, she could hear the doubt in her tone. She checked her disbelief and stilled her mind.

She thought of him. She didn't think of a location. She simply thought of being with him, creating with him, laughing with him, holding him, cycling with him and took a step in faith. One foot left the sand of the shore while the other foot touched down on grass.

"Lia."

It was like seeing a ghost, literally. He had no form, but a sort of mist had taken shape before her, like an amorphous pillar of light refracting off of water. She wanted to put her arms around this presence, but she knew instintively she would pass right through it. There were no vocal cords to make sound but in the similar way that she had heard and felt his voice in the pond the previous year, she heard and felt him now.

They didn't speak. There was no need. Their energy flowed in and around one another, cycling madly. Though she couldn't hug him with her physical being, her essence danced with his in a reunification of souls that exploded with uncontainable delight.
