This is an interesting fictional story that will have your eyes not wanting to skip a line.

Unfortunately there isn't gonna be more to this story, but what she has been able to do within this story is quite fascinating.

LunasChild8 has some serious talent and it cannot be mistaken. When one has read many of her stories and poems, one gets to appreciate an authors certain technique and abilities to finesse words.

I hope you all enjoy this one.

Golden Moon by LunasChild8

“For centuries, Ithiliel has been content to stare out at the vast sea. Nowadays, her attention has been focused solely eastward.”

Cirdan gave his wife a knowing look. “Our daughter’s heart has been taken. She has turned her gaze from the sea in hopes of a glance of her beloved’s return. Yet, it has been more than five years.”

The lord’s wife glanced at him worriedly. “Will Lord Glorfindel ever return? The Valar have sent him back to Middle Earth to protect Lord Elrond and his family. Despite his duty, I know that he too reciprocates Ithiliel’s affections.”

Her husband inhaled deeply. “Lord Glorfindel is an honorable ellon. He will perform his duty without complaint and will remain loyal to the lord of Rivendell. Still, I share your opinion about his sentiments towards our daughter. Ever since he first saw her, he was absolutely smitten by her, though he conducted himself as the perfect gentleman. Whenever Ithiliel would walk into a room, his eyes would light up and never let her out of his sight.” A worried frown wrinkled his ageless face. “However, I cannot help but be concerned about him. He was given the title Balrog Slayer after his death. He hides his emotions well, but in my long years in this world, I have learned to read a person’s character.”

“And what have you read from him, my Lord?” His wife asked curiously.

“Lord Glorfindel is tormented,” Cirdan said solemnly. “I cannot imagine any sane elf being able to forget the horrifying nightmares that he must relive. Ithiliel brightened his days and distracted him from his personal hell. However, since he values honor in high regard and respects us, I believe that he does not wish to taint our sweet daughter with his darkness.”

Bellasthel shook her head. “What a stubborn ellon. Can he not see that our daughter is in love with him?”

Cirdan offered a sad smile. “He is doing this because he loves her. He believes that by staying away from her, he is protecting her.”
