One evening, just before sunset, Emeka and his wife Ngozi were walking along a narrow path. There was thick bushes and grasses on both side of the path. It was know that there were dangerous snakes in the district. In fact, a large snake was killed the previous day just a few yards from where they were.

The path was so narrow that it was difficult for two people to walk side by side. The grasses that were cut down few weeks back had grown back in a flash. The Emeka led the way and his wife followed closely behind.

They had nearly reached home when Emeka suddenly jumped high in the air. His wife, surprised by his action and thinking he had seen a snake, also leapt in the air, infact she jumped way higher than her husband. She saw no snake, however, and she therefore asked her husband, "why did you do that? "
Emeka looked around with a mischievous smile on his face and replied, "for exercise, why did you?.
