Everyone gets excited as the FIFA World Cup 2018 has finally paved its way for its first-ever match. The host country Russia faces Saudi Arabia at Luzhniki Stadium. The host country is in absolute inspiration as they will be playing at home for a prestigious tournament. Their President Vladimir Putin is also watching that boosted even more their drive to win.

The full-packed Luzhniki Stadium roared when Russia finally found that net coutesy of a beautiful header by Yury Gazinsky that made the keeper totally helpless. Everyone in the stadium except the Arabians is filled with joy. Gazinsky plays as a defensive midfield in FC Krasnodar.

The crowd even roared and the Arabians is in despair when Russians again found the net in the closing minutes of the game courtesy Denis Cherysev with a fake and shoot. It was a perfectly placed kick after an amazing cross-over that set him free from two Arabian defenders. The first half ended 2 - nil .

Second Half

The momentum slowed down from both teams as the Russians feel they were settled with the 2-0 win when they noticed Arabians are having difficulties in dealing with the defense. However on the 71st minute, an amazing cross with an astounding header from Artem dzyuba made the Russians sway to heaven when they netted their third goal. It was a good cross, but it was a better header. The keeper is helpless and can't do anything about the placement.

Substitutions from Russia happened resting their key players into which they think the Arabians cannot cope up even just settling a draw. Saudi Arabia got some chances but its not that enough to challenge the Russian Keeper Igor Akinfeev.

When everyone expected to settle with a 3-0 lead, just right after the Russian clearance. Anyone didn't expected the huge turn of events when Denis Cherysev absolutely wonderful left-kick hits the back of the right-corner net making it 4 goals to none. The goal was scored a minute after the extra-added time.

Russia was not even contented when another goal was scored during the final moments of the game when a free-kick was given on the 93rd minute. Just when everyone was filled with joy when Aleksandr Golovin found its way to score the goal despite of a five-man wall.

It was an amazing night and an astounding opening day for the host country and for the tournament itself.
