Film & TV Friday: Newton out at Eve, Rudd going to Netflix
Sorry this post is going up so late. I basically waited to see if there will be any resolution in the ongoing Marvel-Disney talks about James Gunn. News will probably break as soon as I post this. But there's other news and stuff to talk about This is Film & TV Friday.
News
Newton Out
Matthew Newton will not be directing the Jessica Chastain starring and co-penned "Eve," following backlash to his announcement as director and producer of the film. Newton was convicted in 2007 for assaulting his girlfriend, and Chastain has been a strong advocate for the #metoo and #timesup movement. According to reports, the decision to back out was Newton's.
Rudd To Netflix
Paul Rudd is going to star in "Living With Yourself," a Netflix comedy series from the directors of “Little Miss Sunshine." According to Variety, Rudd "will play dual roles in the series, which follows a man struggling in life, who undergoes a new treatment to become a better person." Damn, even comedies sound depressing in 2018.

Trailers
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms
I am definitely rooting for evil Helen Mirren in this film.
Slaughterhouse Rulez
The lead singer of Kula Shaker directed and co-wrote this film. Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and some of their pals are in it. It's a horror comedy about school being hell, and also about hell being hell, apparently.
What are you looking forward to watching?
