Celluloid Film
A beautiful thing. Both celluloid and digital, legit in their own right, engaging the creative brain in different ways.
Only shot one short film on celluloid. I understand it's beauty. I also understand video's ease and speed. I've never been passionate about the argument either way, with most of my focus on story, composition, timing, other things. Beyond that, budget. Heh. It can be hard to argue the numbers with certain or most budgets.
This post, this image, is more about the love of the moment. A handful of friends in a local park with a generator and basic three point lighting, a track and some sticks, neo noir. Beautiful. Fun.

Nice! I love shooting on film. It requires a lot of discipline but the results are fabulous. I’ve only had the pleasure of shooting one short on 35mm with a 1935 Mitchell camera. It was amazing. Not even reflex! Good times.
