Hoist the colours, proud story-smugglers!

@f3nix here, your idonnow what prophet of the void, broadcasting from the Orbital Station DDG-31/DD-936 Decatur. Joy to the world! Down there on that pearlescent damned globe, once called Earth, today should be Christmas A.D. 2043. Surprise surprise! Also in this 1.237th edition of the Finish the Story contest, with a total of 1 partecipant, the winner is.... the A.I. Querquobad!

Heheh. Back to the 37th edition, this was a tricky and difficult one. For sure, I understood that the real Yoh's Conscience is.. @theironfelix! Read his ending for a proof of it! It's very late here and today I worked with incredible enthusiasm to the Bananafish secret project: an amazing treasure hunt with a rich STEEM pot that will catapult you once again in the whimsical world of the Tortillas de Pelo. All the core members are working on it and soon you'll have more details! I kindly ask you to forgive me if the comments to the winners are not long: be sure that I evaluated everyone with care and usually read at least twice everyone's contribution, trying to catch its most intimate meaning. The contest judgment parameters have also been further clarified in a reply to Calluna, which will soon become a post by itself. In connection with the evaluation criteria, allow me to say that this prompt was still to be considered from a fiction perspective, hence, for how deep they were (and they were deep!), the philosophical musings have been rewarded when functional to the plot, as it should be in a contest targeting fiction writing in a collaborative writing format. Ontological/gnoseological/dialectical/metaphysical/hermeneutical/whateverical topics were almost always like a double-edged sword. Once again, be patient and kind with the sleepy prophet who did many cute things that you'll read below on the news ;-)

In this week we had some amazing developments for our growing family of bizarre creatures so let's cut to the chase and give a look at...

What's boiling in the bananafish kitchen (the news!)

  • I'm proud to communicate that, after me providing due diligence, we've been funded by @curie for the third time with a generous donation of 104 STEEM! Thank you @curie and @randomwanderings for your constant support. You're the reason who pushes us to create always better content and make Steemit an interesting place where to build our projects.

  • I'm again proud to communicate that, thanks to my delegation of 2005 SP for 3 months, now the Bananafish votes at $0.07 with a total of 2908 SP!

  • This week the good news never end: let's welcome @dirge and @gwilberiol between the Bananafish Knights and their generous delegation of 50 SP each!

  • Don't forget to join the Reams, where you can promote yourself and meet all of us strange creatures!

  • Prepare for enjoying an intriguing 38th edition by @f3nix (a random bozo taken from the road) and still an enhanced pot of 5 STEEM for the 1st prize + 5 SBI.

  • In case you want to become a core member of the @bananafish and sit at our round-table with the other Bananafish Knights, please note that new members enrollment will close by 10 December 2018. A minimum delegation of 50 SP is required to be part of the management group, although almost all the existing members are selflessly increasing their participation for the benefit of every participant.

  • Curie factoid: we have been supported by the amazing Curie community with 38 upvotes in 37 editions. The rate is increasing lately..we have now more than an average of 1 curie upvote per edition!.
@brisby leads the pack, closely followed by @cyemela, @marcoriccardi, @calluna and now @tristancarax.
Did you vote for @curie as a witness? If not, what are you waiting for!? I know that voting for witnesses often takes a backseat but don't forget that they're the backbone of Steemit. Our votes have the power of shaping the platform. Let's all vote for @curie, a witness that enriches Steemit by rewarding quality.

  • Last but not least: the prophet and knights started working on a unique project. A treasure hunt where you will be able to choose your destiny through a labyrinth of stories and death-life choices... in the end, a rich reward of 10+ STEEM will wait for one lucky participant like a pot of gold under a double rainbow! Don't miss our next updates!

..And the winners of this special-enhanced-pot metaphysical edition are:

  • GRAND PRIZE - 5 STEEM: @calluna. A perfect compromise between philosophical depth and plot. The dialectic resistance of Ethan until the end is human and poignant. The final sentence is powerful. In general, she finalized a prompt dense with metaphysic implications in a very elegant way. Overall, a pleasant story with original dialogues and a message of renewal.

  • SECOND PRIZE - 2 SBI: @marcoriccardi. The most original perspective on Ethan as an instrument of Yoh's Conscience in a neverending cycle.

  • POPULAR VOTE - 1 SBI: @calluna was the most voted but I gave her the 1st prize. The second most voted were Marco and Erika. Marco got the second, I'll give the due share to @erh.germany and her sidereal and beautiful story who reminded me of Kubrick's 2001 Space Odyssey.

  • SPECIAL MENTION: @gwilberiol, 1 SBI for him. He would have been 1st, but he was too much beyond the deadline. Sorry, Master Gwilberiolus, but I think that I can't close one eye due to respecting the guys that rushed to post in time. I strongly recommend to everyone to read his story. Depth, simplicity, humanity, and sense of wonder.

  • BEST COMMENT - 1 SBI: @theironfelix. A tireless curator, a critical thinker who moved at ease in his own philosophical environment.

Hey, @bananafish!

Thank you for your contribution to the crowd. We are the Steemit project dedicated to empowering The Wisdom of Crowds. You can find more about us on our official blog or whitepaper and you can support us by voting for our witness and joining our curation trail on Steemauto . We are also inviting you to join Crowdmind Discord server. Don't forget to use the #crowdmind hashtag and happy crowdsourcing!

Additional comment: Your contest is stimulating the crowd creation in a very specific way - we love it! We also supported this week winners with our upvote, they really deserve it. Keep rocking!

How I love this thing of the additional comment! I saw it already into the Mizu no Oto contest. The wisdom of crowds.. we totally think alike. This is why I didn't retain the contest in my personal account but instead worked for building a community around it. There's nothing that a group of people aware of their energies can't do. Thank you for your support!

Congratulations to the winners for their terrific stories! Thanks to the Curie community for their continued support to this fantastic tribe and thanks as well, F3nix, for all of the effort (as well as) that you continuously give!

Many thanks and a warm welcome to the round table for both Dirge and Gwilberiol!

Hmmm...there's so much to celebrate and not enough grog...

Seriously! There are so many good news that I could have done two posts 😁

I can't choose if I'm happier for the result, for the renewed @curie support, or for the growth and future projects of the Bananafish Tribe!
Prosit!

Hurray! You're right there are so many good vibes spreading!

Congrats to all the winners and entryists!
