Friday Fishing: New Areas
Fishing in a place you are not familiar with can be a challenge. Aside from asking the local tackle shop about any fishing tips, the best thing you can do is use the great resource you have... the internet!
For me, fishing a new area is fun and exciting. I try to google the particular area I am going to fish and look at the fish images from what is caught there. That will give me a good idea on the species of fish I will be targeting, and further help with the fishing strategy.
Then I like to see if there are any local fishing forums with fishing reports that might have tips or locations discussed. I also like to get a bird’s eye view by looking at Google Earth. There are also a number of websites that show depth and structure of lakes and the oceans as well.
Doing some legwork ahead of a fishing trip can make a trip much more successful. Of course, there are no guarantees so any chance to give yourself an advantage while on the water is a good move!

Very true been doing this for when I return to the UK next June. However currently in South Korea. Hardly anyone here posts their catches even on their equivalent to Google. Been a pain finding fishing spots. Had a great catch today so will post in a few days as busy at the mo.
Another option is a growing number of fishing apps where people post their catches and locations.
Fishing in a new place is really interesting and this place is looking so beautiful. Your fish adventure is always enjoyable, i eagerly waiting for your next fish adventure.

There definitely aren't guarantees when you're fishing, but knowing where the fish like to hang out does help. That looks like a great day for fishing though! Enjoy the sunny days before winter comes. :)
