Friday Fishing: New Species
One thing I love about fishing is that you will sometimes find a surprise on the other end of your line when you least expect it.
This was the case here when I caught this Razorback Sucker (at least that is the species I believe it is after research!):
As you can see, it is quite a large fish, and was the first time I had ever caught one. I was fishing for striped bass when this sucker ate my anchovy. I snapped a few pictures, and released the fish unharmed.
It was a fun experience to catch one of these, and I hope that I can catch another one in the future. I had no idea what was on the other end of my line at the time, so brining this in was a pleasant surprise!

Aprendí a pescar en mi ciudad natal, Cd. Bolívar; pero mis maestros fueron personas que no pescaban por deporte sino por un oficio, lo hacían para vender y comer; así que al pez no lo devolvían al agua. Aprendí con ellos su código si sacas o atrapas pescados es para vender , regalarlo o comer y los pequeños hay que devolverlos al agua.
Lo expresado, significa que pesco pero no por deporte sino como distracción y regalo o me como lo que logre sacar, respetando a los peces pequeños que se devuelven al agua.

I learned to fish in my hometown, Cd. Bolívar; but my teachers were people who did not fish for sport but for a trade, they did it to sell and eat; so the fish was not returned to the water. I learned with them their code if you take or catch fish is to sell, give it away or eat and the little ones have to be returned to the water.
